Volunteer
at The Classic

We appreciate the volunteers who come to visit and socialize with our residents.

Some volunteers help with our arts and crafts programs, some entertain, and others simply spend a few hours of their time visiting with our memory care residents and engaging them in lively conversations. Volunteers are comprised of:

  • Retirees
  • High School (age 16 or older) or College Students
  • Individuals, Families, Groups, or Organizations

Volunteers not only provide additional care and attention, they provide the extras that enhance the quality care given by our staff. Although all residents living on our campus are encouraged to remain as active and independent as possible, we understand illness or disability sometimes prevents residents from meeting this goal. Volunteers may perform simple tasks or visit with someone who might need companionship. All volunteers will undergo a background check.

Opportunities

Volunteers help in all areas of our community. Tasks are assigned depending on need, interest, and availability. All tasks are fully instructed to the volunteer before beginning. Examples of volunteer opportunities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead or Assist with Exercise or a Game
  • Play an Instrument or Share Special Talents
  • Teach Arts and Crafts
  • Help with Special Events
  • Read Stories and Show Videos
  • Lead Bible Study or Sing-a-Long
